I am looking for a fun, easy going flatmate to help make the lovely, brand new flat in Hackney Wick Im in the process of buying a home. The flat is completely gorgeous three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Open plan kitchen and dining room opening out to a good-sized deck. The layout is such that the bedrooms are all quite separate, which is great for sharing. The flat is a new build, but the property has much more character than most new builds and includes the most incredible communal roof terrace.
This will be my first property and I am beyond excited. I cant wait to create to create a really cool space to call home. Ideally, Id like to just rent out one of the rooms and keep one room free for guests (yours as well as mine!), however I would consider dropping the rent a bit and finding a third housemate if someone great was interested but the price was a bit too much.
The room is a really good size, is carpeted and has lovely big built ins. It also has two, floor to ceiling windows which means it is lovely and light. In terms of furniture, I am happy to furnish the room but equally fine if you want to bring your own things.
The flat as above its three bedroom, two bathrooms. Youd have the main bathroom which includes a bath. It also has a dishwasher and wine fridge (as well as all the appliances youd expect). There is plenty of room for a good-sized dining table, so we can have people over. There is also secure bike storage in the property.
The location - Right on the canal, with a bridge taking you directly into the Olympic Park directly adjacent. Victoria Park is also a short walk away. Hackney Wick station is a short stroll and Stratford is accessible directly across the park. There are loads of bars, restaurants and pubs in the area not to mention artist studios and galleries.
Me I am an Ozzie who came to London for a one year working holiday 11 years ago. Ive fallen in love with London and now Im buying this place I am here for the foreseeable future. I work for a PR agency which keeps me pretty busy Monday to Friday and on the weekend Im usually out and about catching up with friends and generally making the most of London life. Im very relaxed, there wont be a million rules, Ive very much looking for a housemate rather than a lodger.
Dates and other details Move in date Saturday 2nd June (there might be a bit of flexibility here if needed). The only tricky thing is that I wont have the keys until mid till late May so I wont be able to show you around for a few weeks. However it would be great to meet for a coffee and see if we get on. I suggest meeting at the flat so you can see the building and get a feel for the area.
If you have any questions please do give me a call or text!
