Flatshare DescriptionThe flat is the top floor of a Victorian (?) terrace in Mile End. It's surrounded by three gorgeous parks (Mile End park, Tower Hamlets Cemetary and Victoria Park), so it's perfect for runners or walkers, and close to Mile End leisure centre, footbal grounds, park gym, and even canal canooing! It's 8 minutes from Mile End tube (Central, District, H&C line). There are a couple of good restaurants, take-aways, pubs, and shops nearby. Also Mile End Climbing Wall and Bethnal Green Buddhist Centre if anyone wants some mediation or cheap yoga.
We are two young professionals, a couple (don't freak out) but renting seperate rooms because we're not joined at the hip, and have our own lives. One of us is an actor and one of us a musician.
We both evidently work from home quite a lot, rehearsing and writing music etc, so lots of TV watching or loud music or radio isn't really ok, but quiet 'home workers' will be considered. Ideally though, you'd work out of the house, so we didn't get in each other's way too much during the day.
We are quite often out and about in the evenings, or on tour, so although we're very friendly, we are not around all the time.
The room for rent is lovely and quiet, at the back of the house. The flat has a seperate kitchen with a kitchen table, and a living room with a chaise longue! It also has a staircase and is sadly not at all wheelchair accessible.
We don't have a TV and we don't really want one, but occasional netflix evenings are evidently great. The kitchen is genearally where we congregate for a chat, and the living room is more of a work from home space in the day, but a hang out place in the evenings.
This room would be ideal for someone who likes their own space, already has a friendship circle in London (just because we're often away and don't want anyone to be lonely!), and doesn't mind not having a TV. Tea is our favourite drink (we're up for GnTs of a weekend, but not massive boozers) and we're hard-working and passionate about our areas of work.
Anyone of any nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, etc is very welcome!
Occasional visitors are of course welcome, too, if cleared with the flatshare first. Long-term partners staying over is not really ok as that has caused problems in the past.
Sadly we are allergic to pets. :(
