Hello,

Aileen and I are looking for a flatmate, preferably female, a nice, tidy, friendly professional in our 3-bed flat on a parallel street to Columbia Road, E2.

Please bear in mind that the current lease ends on 20 July, which means this is initially a short-let but we will most likely be extending it.?

The rent is 750/month. Bills + council tax come to about 80 per person on average. There's sadly, a 180 sign-on fee to be paid to the real estate agency.

About the place: The house is on a parallel street to the famous Columbia Road (with the Flower Market), so, ideally located in the triangle that is Shoreditch / Hoxton / Bethnal Green. If you know the area well, you know the deal -- otherwise, it should suffice to say it benefits from everything both these neighbourhoods have to offer: Shoreditch's trendy, artsy, hipster-y, historic vibes mixed with Bethnal Green's eternally up an coming neighbourhood-like feel; Broadway Market, Regent's Canal, Victoria Park (where we go running).

It is an ex-council flat on a block, so you may be deceived by the looks from the outside. Inside is very nicely renovated (in 2005) by the landlords from whom I rent the flat. The south-facing orientation of the lounge + garden means plenty of sunlight during the day (if there's sun!).

I am an urban design and planning consultant with an MSc. from the LSE and 10 years of experience in living in London. Aileen is a project manager in start-up/tech industry.
